'Rebor' for the 'RMS Queen Mary'. Turner's re-boring the propeller shaft bearings of the 'Queen Mary' which is undergoing her annual overhaul in the King George V dry dock at Southampton. The bearings, which are made of Lignum Vitae (the hardest wood Known), are being re-bored with a portable boring machine. It is interesting to note that owing to the size of the work, the mechanics are allowed a 1/16 of an inch limit of error. 4 January 1938
