As a result of determined military's action by the British forces, the rebels in control of the Old City of Jerusalem have been ousted and British authority re-establish. The British attack came after the Arabs had held the old city for a week. 22 Arabs were killed and 25 injured. This was the first time modern war equipment, including aeroplanes has been used in a campaign in the holy city.
