These pictures were taken by a staff photographer, with the permission of the Polish authorities, at the Polish Air Force Station at Mokotow, near Warsaw. The Polish Air Force is highly efficient and is intensively preparing to play its part in the National defence should Poland be attacked. All planes are now produced by the Polish state, and a fine new Government factory adjoins the flying field. The factory includes staff dining rooms, has flats for the housing of employees and even has its own shopping centre. All the aircraft made there are of metal, most of which is mined in Poland. Photo Shows: Polish pilots, some wearing crash helmets, on the field at Mokotow. 5 May 1939
