Tommy Farr receives NSC trophy at Wembley. Tommy Farr, British Empire heavyweight champion, attended the fight between Walter Neusel, the German and Maurice Strickland of New Zealand, at the Wembley Arena, London, and received the National Sporting Club Trophy from Sir Noel Curtis Bennett. The trophy was presented for as gallant showing against Joe Louis for the world title.
