Woman artist who has sold picture to four Queens-Queen Elizabeth buys a Jerusalem picture. Seller of her own paintings to four British Queens is the proud distinction of Mrs PAF Stephenson, the London artist who has just sold to Queen Elizabeth watercolour of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem. At 16 years of age. Mrs Stephenson sold a piece of painted China to Queen Victoria, Queen Alexandra bought an Italian landscape, and Queen Mary purchased four pictures of Palestine. The artists picture for Queen Elizabeth is now on exhibition with other works by Mrs Stephenson, at Walker's galleries, new Bond Street. Mrs Stephenson, who knows the Grand Mufti well, is the only woman who has ever been permitted to sketch inside the sacred Dome of the Rock. 20 October 1937
