Body of Ramsay MacDonald brought home by cruiser from Bermuda. With flags in the city and on every warship in port at half mast, the body of Mr Ramsay MacDonald, England's first Labour Premier, who died at sea when on a holiday cruise to South America, was brought ashore at Plymouth from the cruiser HMS Apollo D63, which brought it from Bermuda. Members of the family run the quayside as the body was taken through a guard of honour to the train which brought it to London. Photo shows, Mr Ramsay MacDonald's family following the coffin to the train at Plymouth. In front of Mr Alistair and Miss Ishbel McDonald, followed by Mr Malcolm, Miss Sheila and Mrs McKinnon. 25 November 1937
