Horatio Bottomley's ashes unclaimed. His last wish not carried out, urn may be destroyed. For four and half years the Ashes of Horatio Bottomley, politician and financer, who was imprisoned for fraud, have lain in an open casket in the Chapel of an undertaker at Marylebone, London. Last wish was that his ashes should be scattered at his old home. The wish was made, just before he died in a public ward of Middlesex Hospital, at the age of 73, to Miss Peggy Primrose, an actress friend for 23 years. Miss Primrose paid the funeral expenses and arrange to collect the Ashes. But she never called and none of Bottomley's relatives has communicated with the undertaker. Recent efforts to trace Miss Primrose Have failed. It is possible that no one claims the Ashes the urban will be destroyed. 27 October 1937
