London official has secret meeting with Duke of Windsor in Paris. Discusses British public opinion. A secret meeting in Paris with the Duke of Windsor has just been revealed by Mr E. Page Harry Hayward, head of the Home Department of the Workers Travel Association. Mr Haywood, he was invited to meet the Duke by invitation three third party, had a long interview with the Duke and discussed British public opinion, as it interests Duke, his visit to Germany, the proposed visit to America and social work in Britain. The Duchess of Windsor was present during part of the interview, Mr Haywood describes her as 'simple and natural as a child'. Mr Haywood first met the Duke of Windsor at the old Alhambra just after the war, when, as Prince of Wales, he was opening a meeting of the town planning Association.
