Britain's only bird surgeon. London archaeology 400 further patients in a year. More than 400 birds had been treated and cured in a year by Britain's only practising 'Bird surgeon', Mr a B Andrae of Morton Way, Southgate. At the back of Mr Andrea house is a room equipped for every kind of operation. In this room, birds had been treated for broken limbs, damaged wings and internal complaints. A few days ago, Mr Andrae cut a cancer growth from a bird. The operations are performed with dental instruments, and Mrs Andrea acts as anaesthetist. There is a specially heated 'Ward 'for serious cases. Mr Andrae does not charge for treatment, and patients are sent to him from all over Britain. He receives enquiries from all over the world.
