Bath police chief in London to probe death mystery of Ellen Ruddle's friend!. The strange mystery surrounding the death of miss Ellen Ruddle, the Bath and drug addict whose body was recently exhumed, spread to London when superintendent Ashworth, deputy Chief Constable of Bath, arrived at Paddington to reopen investigations into the death of a friend, Miss Eve Maud Mabbott, a 34-year-old nurse, at Highbury. Miss Mabbott died at Highbury and an open verdict was returned at the inquest. Superintendent Ashworth is also investigating the death of Miss Ruddle, who he was established, died from morphine poisoning.
