The new turkey trains mothers of the future. Freed from the veil and the restriction of the pre Kemal regime, women in the new Turkey are taking a part in public life undreamed of by the women of only a quarter century ago. Education and physical fitness are primary objects of the younger generation, which is making Turkey one of the most progressive of European nations. But girls are trained not only for buisness careers, as mothers of the future they are taught infant welfare and housewifery at special colleges.
