Two men take off from Southend in 瞿10 plane to tour Germany. After spending months rebuilding and testing an aeroplane which they bought as a 'wreck' for 瞿10, two members of Southend Flying Club, Mr Jim Myall and Mr Roper Brown, both of Southend, left Southend Airport for a two week tour of Germany. When they bought the aeroplane, a 40 hp Salmson Klemm , which is about 10 years old, it was in small pieces. It is now a worthy again, with a cruising speed of about 80 mph. Photo shows, Mr Roper Brown (rear seat) and Mr Jim Myall as they left Southend Airport. 2 August 1938
