Liverymen of Stationers, company walk in procession to Ash Wednesday service. Liverymen of the Stationers and Newspaper Makers Company walked in procession to St Paul's Cathedral for the annual Ash Wednesday service in accordance with the instructions given in the will, dated 1612, of Alderman John Norton. They will also provide for buns and ale to be distributed to the liverymen at Stationers Hall on Ash Wednesday. The will mention St Faith Church, which is now St Paul's Crypt. The preacher at the service, Canon M S Foxell, received a fee of ten shillings, in accordance with a provision in Alderman Norton's Will.
