Count M Lippens the former governor general of the Belgian Congo, arrived at Southampton on the Imperial Airways flying boat "Calpurnia". Mr Lippens, who is on his way to Paris, missed the train at Marseilles and rather than wait for the next one, he took the flying boat to Southampton intending to fly back across the Channel to Paris.
