Arab leader killed after a deduction from Jerusalem. First Arab leader of importance to be killed since the rebellion began, Hassan Sidky Dajani , Arab lawyer and spokesman of the Nationalists, has been shot dead after being at the abducted from Jerusalem. Dajany, who was about 40 years old, served in the Turkish Army before the Great War. He had appeared frequently in the defence of accused Arabs and at the time of his death was working on the case of three Arabs accused before a military court. He was a councillor on the municipality of Jerusalem and was known in our quarters as 'Hoderate'. 13 October 1938
