Jean Forbes Robertson helps to bring the theatre to school children. Many well-known theatre people are actively cooperating in the work of the English School Theatre Society, which has been formed to foster in the youth of today an interest in the theatre and a love for good drama. To accomplish this aim, the Society will put on first-class professional productions of good plays in a manner suitable to the development of youth. Every effort will be made to train the critical faculty of schoolchildren by means of discussion with producers and actors. The scheme is intended especially for children who have not had the opportunity to become properly acquainted with the theatre, and through society performances are being given in London at first, similar productions will be organised.
