The King, accompanied by the Queen, made the largest review of ex-Servicemen ever held in England when he inspected 80,000 old soldiers and took the salute at an hour-long march past. Detachment from all parts of the country paraded and the company of the Boer War veterans and 200 war-blinded men took part.
