Miss Mary Peach, the Surrey golfer, was married to Mr Gordon Graham Pyke, a Canadian, at St Mark's Church, North Audley Street. Miss Peach played for victorious Surrey in the country finals of 1935, but injury from a skiing accident has interfered with her career. Before moving to Worplesdon, the famous club which gave her and her brother their chance for record-breaking, the bride lived at Firbeck Hall, now one of the most up-to-date country clubs in the Doncaster district.
