Record-breaking Japanese airmen have tea with Ambassador after 10,000 miles flights. Almost the first action of the Japanese record-breaking airmen Masaaki Iinuma and Kenji Tsukakoshi after breaking away from the welcoming crowds at Croydon was to take a cup of tea in the Aerodrome Hotel with the Japanese Ambassador, Mr Shigeru Yoshida, who greeted them. 27-year-old Masaaki Iinuma had piloted his monoplane "Divine Wind" ["Kamikaze", a Mitsubishi Ki-15 Karigane aircraft, registration J-BAAI] in 94 hours over the 10,000 miles from Tokyo to London bringing Coronation greetings from Japan.
