The King tries his hand at Arrow golf . These pictures , just released publication show King Edward VIII playing golf , a new game invented by their friends Herr Franz Pichler Mandorf , an official of the air section of the Austrian Ministry of Commerce , on the golf course of the golf course of the International Country Club , Lainz , Vienna . The King liked the game so much that he asked Herr Pichler Mandorf to send sets of the accessories to London . The game is played with an arrow thrown with a kind of whip . The inventor claims that the game exercises the whole body and is an inexpensive substitute for ordinary golf . Photo shows , the King playing Arrow Golf . 21 September 1936
