Husband hides face as he leaves after inquest on young bride at Ryde . The inquest at Elfrieda Jenkins , the 22-year-old bride was found fatally injured underneath a window of her flat in St John's Park , Ryde , Isle of Wight , opened in the scope of the Ryde Methodist Chapel . The woman , a German by birth , had been married only two months . Sir Bernard Spilsbury , the pathologist , flew from London to the Isle of Wight to make a proper post-mortem examination after being caught in by Mr Basil Jenkins , husband of the dead women .
