Smaller driver has smallest car for season fast race. Famous racing drivers, including several women, are putting in final practice in preparation for the eighth international 500 miles race - the fastest of the season - which takes place on Saturday (September 19) at Brooklands. Only cars known to be capable of a lap speed of 100 miles an hour have been accepted by the organisers, the British Racing Drivers Club.
