Window from which young bride fell to death at Ryde . Inquest opens . The inquest on Elfrieda Jenkins , the 22-year-old bride who was found fatally injured underneath the window of her flat in St John's Park , Ryde , Isle of Wight , opened the school room of the Ryde Methodist Chapel . The woman , a German by birth had been married only two months . Sir Bernard Spilsbury , the pathologist , flew from London to the Isle of Wight to make a post-mortem examination after being called in by Basil Jenkins , husband of the dead woman .
