German liner arrives at Southampton after Atlantic rescue ?finds sole survivor of sunken ship. With Fritz Roethke, 17-year-old sole survivor of the Hamburg-Amerika motor vessel Isis, on board, the German liner Westernland (string thousand tons) arrived at Southampton after her rescue dash in answer to the SOS of the Isis (4454 tons) which Funder in an Atlantic gale 200 miles of Land's End taking with her the other 39 members of the crew.
