The ' Admiral hipper ' , first of three 10,000 t cruisers included in Germany ' s building programme after the conclusion of the Naval agreement with Britain , was launched at the hamburg shipyards at Blohm and Voss . She will be armed with 8 inch guns . The new cruiser was named by Frau Raeder , wife of the Commander in Chief of the German Navy . 8 February 1936 Adml hipper commanded the battlecruisers Seydlitz , Moltke and Blucher at the bombardment of Hartlepool on 16 December , 1914 , and later led the German scouting force at the Battle of Jutland .
