Stalin acts as pall-bearer at Orjonikidze's funeral in snowstorm. Stalin and his entire in Political Bureau (the Soviet's powerful directing organisation) acted as pall-bearers at the funeral in Moscow of Grigory Konstantinovich Orjonikidze [Grigol / Sergo Ordzhonikidze], Commissar for Heavy Industry, member of the Political Bureau and Stalin's right-hand man. The funeral took place in a snowstorm. Vast crowds estimated at 200,600 people stood by as the urn containing Orjonikidze's ashes was placed in the Kremlin wall, restingplace of Soviet Russia honoured dead.
