Pony for Shirley Temple sails on the ' RMS Queen Mary ' . When the ' Queen Mary ' sailed from Southampton for America she had an onboard a Shetland pony for Shirley Temple the child film actress . The pony was cabled for by Mr Joseph M Schenck , the Hollywood film producer , who is giving it to Shirley . The pony is accomodated in a specially constructed horse box on the aft deck of the liner , and is being looked after on the voyage by Major Caldwell J P , who bred him .
