Mr . J . R . Jeffress of Kenton Grange has constructed one of the most of ambitious miniature railways in the grounds of his house . He designed his own lay - out and built his own locomotives , naming one " George the Fifth " . Built to " 0 " gauge the system has sturdy locomotives which haul visitors round the grounds . In this way large sums have been collected annually for local hospitals and charities .
