Speedway riders take bride on ceremonial drive around West Ham Track . Two West Ham speedway riders who were married in Sydney ( Australia ) during the winter took their brides around the West Ham track in coaches when the first meeting of the season was held . They were Harold Stevenson and Mick Murphy . Stevenson and his wife were drawn round the track in a Cinderella coach with four brown and white ponies driven by Tommy Croombs . This coach , which has gold studded harnesses worth 瞿 300 , was used by Queen Victoria when she was a girl . Mr and Mrs Murphy were in a Victorian coach driven by Arthur Atkinson . The coaches were preceded by a brass band playing the march ' Old Comrades ' . Photo shows Mick Murphy and his wife with the canteen of cutlery presented to them by the supporters club . 11 April 1936
