Sir David Campbell , the Governor General of Malta left Victoria Station , London , to join the SS Carthage to return to Malta to retake his appointment . Sir David , who is accompanied by Lady Campbell , has been ill for some time . He came to England for an operation and spent three months in a Park Lane nursing home .
