French police puzzled by case of the missing fire arms . three hundred and ten cases of arms were despatched from Le Havre for the Argentine , when the consignment arrived at its destination however it was refused and sent back to France . The cases were then reopened and found to contain nothing but lumps of stones and sand . Somewhere on the journey the original contents had been stolen .
