Members of the French and Italian embassies in London were guests at the wedding of M Joseph Louis Jean Baptiste Coudurier de Chassaigne and Mlle Yvette Steffens , which took place at the Church of Notre Dame de France , Leicester Square , London . M de Chassaigne is the only Frenchman to hold what was virtually a Cabinet post in Great Britain . During the war he was Under secretary to Mr Neville Chamberlain in the National Service Office .
