As he was leaving the studio of Sir Arthur Cope , RA , after the final sitting for his portrait in a costume he wore to the play , Mr Arthur Wontner , the famous English actor received word that Signor Mussolini had conferred on his the honour of a Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy , in recognition of his acting in Signor Mussolini 's play " Napoleon " produced in London last year . Mr Wontner played the part of Fouche , the French Minister of Police .
