Man unhurt after being run over by train within an inch of death . Mr Frank Larman , a railway fireman , who lives at James Street , Epping , Essex , has a remarkable escape from death when he was knocked down by the buffer of an oil tanker . He fell between the lines and lay perfectly still while and engine tender and oil tanker passed over him . There was only a single inch of clearance between the engine and his body . Mr Larman is 6 feet 3 inches tall . His mate who was walking along the permanent way with him when he was knocked down astounded to find him still alive when he ran to pick him up after the engine had passed .
