Prince of Wales unveils Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme near Thiepval, northern France . In the presence of President Leburn of France and a mulititude of English people , many of them relaties of men who went into the line on the Somme and never , the Prince of Wales unveiled the memorial to the 75 , 000 British officers and men who fell on the Somme and have no known grave , in the little village of Thiepval , France , which was blown to nothingness during the war , and has since risen anew from the ruins . 1 August 1932
