Wild scenes at a London eviction . A hand to hand fight between unemployed and police raged around Wakefield House , on the L C C estate at Peckham , London , S E , when bailiffs carried out the eviction of the family of Mr Jack Williamson , a milkman , because he had sublet part of his flat to an Aunt , Mrs Anne Crawford , breaking an L C C regulation . the family , consisting of his wife and seven children were turned out in the rain and their furniture was also put out in the rain outside .
