Famous artist and wife in ' companionate marriage ' Each live in their own house . A marriage experiment which has so far proved very successful is being conducted by Captain Richard Wyndham . the artist and his wife , a Norwegian formerly , Miss Margrethe Ingrid Wulfsberg . Each occupies his own house . Captain Wyndham a studio in Kensington , and Mrs Wyndham a little house in Chelsea . They even spent their honeymoon separately after their marriage in 1930 . they often dine or spend weekends together . they have a baby daughter named Ingrid . Mrs Wyndham says that they thus avoid the discords and irritation which a too close and intimate life often promotes , even between the most devoted couples .
