Police Present Former Fleet Street Messenger with Gold Watch Robert A McDowell of Victoria Park a former Fleet Street newspaper messenger now employed in the offices of the Chief inspector of Texas , has just been presented by the officers and men of Bethnal GReen Police station with a handsome gold watch for services rendered in assisting four constables who were surrounded by a crowd when trying to arrest four violent men . McDowell had previously been commended by the Old Street magistrates 12 October 1922
