Knight of the Order of the Broom-Pod (Cosse du Genet); 13th century. He wears the necklace of broom-pods; fleurs de lys and a cross; a violet chaperon or hood; white damask coat of arms tunic; gold belt; sword and scabbard; red stockings and long cracows or poulaines. The order was created by King Louis IX on his wedding to Margeret of Provence in 1234.
