This is the second temporary cemetery installed in 1944 on the cliff of Colleville-sur-Mer to the east of Ruque. This cemetery was a little west of the present cemetery; built several years later. The bodies were transferred starting 20 July 1944 from the first temporary cemetery at the foot of the cliff between Vierville and St. Lawrence. Normandy; France.
