Handcoloured etching by Auguste Etienne Guillaumot Jr. from Costumes of the Directory; Rouquette; Paris; 1875. The etchings were made from designs by Eugene Lacoste and Draner after prints of the era 1795-99. The costumes are from theatre productions Merveilleuses and Pres Saint-Gervais by Victorien Sardou.
