The Lenin All Union Agricultural Academy held a session in Moscow from 31 July to 7 August, 1948. Academician T D Lysenko delivered a report 'on the situation in biology' which was subsequently discussed at the session. The session is shown that the Michurin trend in biology, has gained a well-deserved victory in the USSR. Michurinist biology is inseparably connected with the Marxist Leninist world outlook and lights a correct path for the workers of socialist agriculture, teaching them to actively and daringly transform living nature. The session has exposed and denounced the reactionary idealistic Weismannist Morganist trend in biology, and is proved to be an outstanding event in the ideological life of the Soviet People.
