A Spring Bouquet by Nancy Kominsky ?006 TopFoto Nancy Kominsky, a native Philadelphian, is a portrait painter, an international lecturer, teacher and author, who now lives in Rome, Italy. She studied at the Graphic Sketch Club, Philadelphia, Pa. Cooper Union, New York City and under Theodore Lukits, well known portrait painter in California. She worked for three years doing painting and sculpturing on scaled dioramas for a Pennsylvania Museum. In 1963, faced with the prospect of no income and at the urging of a friend, she opened her first Sunday Painters Art Studio in Burbank, California. She devised a unique 'anyone can paint' system of teaching which became instantly successful. In 1966 she moved to Rome and opened the equally successful Sunday Painters of Rome, teaching personnel from all the embassies of the world how to paint. She has completed three highly acclaimed networked television series in Britain, of thirteen programmes each, called Paint Along With Nancy, and has written very successful accompanying books. Now there is a Nancy Kominsky television series in the United States based on this internationally famous, unique method of teaching people to paint.
