Sir Jimmy Young (born 1921) is a well-known British disc jockey and radio interviewer. Jimmy Young was signed to the new label Polygon Records in 1950. He released numerous records on the label, all conducted by Ron Goodwin. In 1952 he began a contract with Decca. His most successful year as a recording artist was 1955, when 'Unchained Melody' and 'The Man From Laramie' (both from the film 'Unchained') were both Number One hits. *** Local Caption ***
