Curtain design for Pagliacci (Clowns) by Yury Ivanovich Pimenov, (1903-1977). Pagliacci is an opera in two acts, composed and with a prologue by Ruggiero Leoncavallo (1857-1919). Portraying Moscow, Pimenov depicted its changes from the 1930s to the 1960s.
