Nairobi Consecration of two Apostolic Delegates for Africa, ceremony in the unfinished cathedral of the Holy Family on 31st December 1961. The Archbishops who were consecrated were their Excellencies the Most Reverend Guido Del Mestri and the Most Reverend Felix Pirozzi, Apostolic Delegates respectively in Nairobi ( Kenya ) and Tananarive ( Madagascar ). The consecrator was his Eminence Cardinal Laurean Rugambwa, Bishop of Bukoba. Co-consecrators were the Most Reverend Ireneus Dud, Vicar Apostolic of Wau, Sudan. Photograph shows Cardinal Rugambwa kneeling at the altar during the recitation of the Litany, while Archbishop Del Mestri, nearer to the camera, and Archbishop Pirozzi, prostrate themselves on the altar steps 10th January 1962
