John Taylor III of Mount Airy. The heir to Mount Airy (c.1768-1828) was a successful owner and breeder in his family's tradition. The best filly he bred was Tayloe's Calypso (by Medley out of a Childers mare); the best colt Sir Archy (by Diomed out of his imported Castianira by Rockingham). The History of Horse Racing by Roger Longrigg, page 207.
