Ornate stool found in Tutankhamun's tomb. The Treasures of Tutankhamen, The Exhibition Catalogue by I E S Edwards, page 101. The feet, in form of a member of the cat family's paws, are of wood painted white. Between them can be observed a gilded motif of the "Union of the Two Countries" in openwork wood, taking the form of lilies and papyruses entwined around the hieroglyphic sign signifying union. A cushion must have been placed on the curved seat. *** Local Caption ***
