Outside one of the Baltard pavilions, a gardien de la paix belonging to the brigade unique to Les Halles known as Halles Centrales (HC) is arguing with a deliveryman with a charcuterie delivery van not being allowed through because he arrived in the middle of the clearing up and clean up. Photographer Harold Chapman recalls that... "things are going on. Sometimes the time between one picture and another in the same place can be ten or twenty seconds so there is movement.
