An elderly man, smartly dressed and well turned out in warm but affordable clothes, wearing a beret, zip-up ankle boots, and using a walking stick, is about to walk past Librairie Clavreuil at 37 Rue Saint-Andre-des-Arts opposite Rue Seguier. Just round the corner from the Beat Hotel, this dilapidated corner of wall of illegal fly-posting was a well known place for advertising underground films. Many posters, torn, old and new, some announcing J.S. Bach concerts at the Salle des Conservatoires yet to take place in early 1964 and others advertising films from 1963, are on the dilapidated wall. The films are La Cuisine au Beurre starring Fernandel et Bourvil (December 1963) and Hallelujah les Collines (November/December 1963) in VO (Version Originale, or Original Language). 6e arrondissement, Left Bank, Paris, France, 1963.
